AAC - AERATED AUTOCLAVED CONCRETE

The AAC is a building material having structural performances and superior technical characteristics used for all types of masonry (for dwellings, social-cultural institutions, multi stage buildings encasings with reinforced concrete structures, no mater their height, industrial buildings as well as for more other reconstruction activities and penthouse of existent buildings, according to the regulations in force.

The quality of MACON AAC is the result of the investments and technological modernization made together with HEBEL Company from Germany.

Advantages of Macon AAC
Excellent heat insulating
• The closed air found in millions of tiny pores uniformly distributed gives Macon AAC remarkable heat insulating proprieties leading to a low energy consumption and low upkeep costs (low thermal conductivity coefficient λ = 0.10 ± 0.05 W/mK - GBNT and GBN 35; 0.14 W/mK - GBN 50)
• Due to the reduced quantity of mortar used for joints, the heat bridges in the walls are reduced therefore increasing the thermal resistance.
Certified Quality
Macon AAC is manufactured according to the standard SR EN 771-4: 2004, owning the CE certification of conformity. The certified quality of products is also given by the integrated management system, according to the standards SR EN ISO 9001: 2008, SR EN ISO 14001: 2005, OH SAS 18001: 2007.
Comfortable microclimate
The storing capacities of the AAC, the resistance to cold and the fact that it reduces heat loss, keep a durable and healthy microclimate: warm rooms during winters and cool rooms during summers. The absorption-rendering capacity of air humidity prevents the condensation water.
Best acoustics protection
The comfort of buildings depends on the control of acoustics and of the silencing. Macon AAC observes the regulation regarding sound reduction; the silencing coefficient increases depending on the wall's thickness, for example, starting with 32dB for a 100-mm- thickness wall to 45dB for a 350-mm- thickness wall.
Excellent Fireproofness
The AAC provide an excellent protection against fire according to the most stringent fire regulations. The AAC Macon is classified as a "fireproof building material" (Euro class A1). Due to these proprieties it can be used as protection wall against the spread of fire, protecting goods and lives. Theoretically, a protection wall should resist to fire 4 hours but tests show that a 15cm- thickness AAC keeps its insulating, airproofness and resistance capacities as well as its stability until 7 hours at intense fire. Not only is AAC resistant to fire and heat, but it doesn't give off smoke and toxic gases.
Dimensional diversity

Money saving
The small weight, the heat insulating and sound reduction proprieties, the large volume with precise dimensions, thin construction joints and the facility of manufacture and usage reduce substantially transportation expenses, labour, other expenses for the use of additional heat insulating systems and time of execution, all these leading to money saving.
Remarkable structure performances
Macon AAC is extremely resistant and its small weight provides a small charge on the building foundation. Its proprieties are kept during the entire lifetime of the buildings, without getting older. It resists to winds and rains and it doesn't grind nor rot. Contraction and dilatation have very small values due to variations of temperature which prevents the cracks in the plaster.
Best mechanical resistance
This generates a high degree of security for AAC buildings:
  • Increasing the execution qualities
  • Reducing the building vindication expenses in case of mechanical or climate overstressing
  • Frost- thaw resistance
Small weight
Although it is bulky, the AAC is the lightest masonry material because of its pore space and small weight which makes it easy for transportation, handling and usage even in building statics.
Reduced water absorption
Even though it is a porous product, the AAC reduces and slows down water absorption due to pores bridging and lack of capillarity. In order to protect the walls against climate influence it is enough to plaster the masonry.
Minor environmental impact
Macon AAC is an ecologic product which doesn't contain dangerous substances therefore it's not radioactive.
Processing and usage
Because of their structure, the AAC blocks can be processed by cutting, drilling, milling off and finishing of the surface using handy tools. The electric wiring, the heat and sanitary installations are quickly and easily fixed on walls.
